Sports enthusiasts, charity champions, and everyone in between, get ready for the triumphant return of the iconic Let’s Take A Walk event! This year, it’s all about taking strides for a good cause as the event join forces with Ray of Hope, Singapore’s crowdfunding charity on a mission to make a difference in the community.
In a heartwarming move towards inclusivity, Let’s Take A Walk 2023 introduces the 5km FamilyWalk. This specially designed route is ramp-accessible, creating an incredible opportunity for families and differently-abled individuals to come together in the spirit of giving back. It’s a beautiful symbol of unity, where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can take part and make a meaningful impact.
This year, the primary goal is to unite an astounding 2,000 walkers, doubling last year’s impressive turnout of 1,000 participants. The aim is to raise an incredible $100,000, which will go directly to Ray Of Hope. This remarkable charity does more than just raise funds; they provide crucial social support through dedicated case managers, ensuring that every donated dollar directly reaches those in need.
Ray of Hope has a proven track record of assisting over 1,000 beneficiaries and mobilizing over $10 million since 2012. Their reach extends to a diverse range of individuals, including children, the disabled, the elderly, migrant workers, single parents, and more. Their commitment to genuine assistance and community engagement is reinforced through audits by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY).
