Air Canada has embarked on an exciting journey, bringing the stunning Canadian landscapes closer to Singaporeans. In a recent trade mission to Singapore, Air Canada, along with key partners from Vancouver and British Columbia, laid the groundwork for a groundbreaking venture that’s set to redefine travel between Southeast Asia and Canada.
This mission was not just a business endeavor; it was a voyage of collaboration, connection, and celebration. For the first time, Air Canada executives and Canadian tourism representatives joined forces to explore the vibrant city-state of Singapore and set the stage for the airline’s newest global route, connecting Singapore and Vancouver in April 2024. This marks Air Canada’s second non-stop route between Southeast Asia and Canada.
During their visit, the delegation engaged with various stakeholders, including the High Commission of Canada in Singapore, local Canadian business associations, and key trade partners. These meetings were more than just formalities; they were the seeds of partnerships that will shape the travel experience for both Singaporeans and Canadians.
The team didn’t stop there. They met with travel agencies and business associations in Singapore, brainstorming creative strategies to showcase Vancouver’s charm. Vancouver, known for its multicultural vibrancy and year-round attractions, is poised to become a top destination for Singaporeans, whether they’re traveling for leisure, business, or both.
To sweeten the deal and celebrate the upcoming Singapore to Vancouver route, Air Canada is offering a limited-time promotion. Travelers departing from Singapore on this non-stop flight or via Japan/Korea between 4 April 2024, and 5 September 2024, can enjoy select round-trip fares from SGD1,299 to Vancouver or from SGD1,599 to Toronto. It’s an opportunity to explore the beauty of Canada like never before.
The two-day mission culminated in a spectacular gala dinner at the Andaz, The Glasshouse Ballroom, attended by over 80 guests. Trade partners in Singapore gathered to immerse themselves in the allure of Vancouver, learn about the new route, and discover Air Canada’s commitment to sustainability efforts in Southeast Asia.
In line with their sustainability efforts, Air Canada took a unique approach to door gifts for their dinner guests. Instead of traditional trinkets, they purchased verified carbon offsets on behalf of each guest. These offsets support the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve on the southern coast of Borneo, a certified third-party project that focuses on community development and biodiversity protection. It’s one of many global sustainability initiatives backed by Air Canada’s carbon offset partner, CHOOOSE.
Come April 4, 2024, Air Canada will commence non-stop flights from Singapore to Vancouver, offering this convenient connection four times a week year-round. Travelers will be aboard Air Canada’s flagship Dreamliner fleet, featuring three cabins of service. From Signature Class with its 29 lie-flat seats to Premium Economy with 21 spacious seats and the Economy class with 247 seats, there’s a world of possibilities to explore.
