Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) is set to take seniors on a trip down memory lane with its newly announced program, “Happy Sing-Along.” This initiative aims to showcase and celebrate the rich tapestry of dialect culture through iconic songs, brought to life by local artists. With the first session scheduled for 4 October 2023, the program promises to be a delightful journey into the past.
“Happy Sing-Along” is all set to kick off its inaugural session on 4 October 2023, at the SCCC Auditorium, running from 3 pm to 5 pm. For those unable to attend in person, the sessions will be livestreamed on SCCC’s Facebook page and the pages of the performing artists. Each session is carefully curated to feature a diverse selection of songs that resonate deeply with the senior audience.
The program will be hosted by esteemed television and radio personalities, including Marcus Chin, Lee Peifen, and Hao Hao. These well-known hosts will guide both the onsite and online attendees through a captivating musical journey featuring nostalgic dialect and Mandarin pop songs, skillfully performed by local artists.
Beyond the music, the sessions will also include engaging Q&A segments and entertaining skits that offer insights into various aspects of local Chinese culture.
To ensure accessibility for all, tickets for “Happy Sing-Along” are priced at an affordable $4, with an additional $1 administration fee. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster and all post offices.
