OKX Unveils McLaren MCL60 Race Car “Stealth Mode” for Singapore Grand Prix

Formula 1 enthusiasts and tech aficionados in Singapore have a thrilling treat in store as McLaren Racing and OKX, a prominent Web3 technology company, joined forces to introduce a captivating livery design for the McLaren MCL60 F1 cars.

The spectacular unveiling took place yesterday at Lantern, Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore. This limited-edition design, aptly named “Stealth Mode,” is set to grace the McLaren race cars during the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix from September 15 to 17, as well as the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix from September 22 to 24.

Co-designed by OKX and McLaren, the Stealth Mode livery adds an intriguing twist to McLaren’s classic papaya trim, embracing a striking black color scheme.

OKX Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique, McLaren F1 Team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, and McLaren Racing Executive Director, Partnerships & Accelerator, Matt Dennington were at the unveiling event.

In celebration of this unique partnership, a limited-edition Stealth Mode t-shirt will be available through the McLaren Store and as a special giveaway for attendees of Token2049, the Web3 conference taking place in Singapore ahead of the race.

To provide fans with an immersive experience of the Stealth Mode design, OKX will host the McLaren-themed fan zone, OKX Race Club, at Chijmes in Singapore.

Running from Thursday, September 14 to Sunday, September 17, this event will feature a Stealth Mode show car, racing simulators, exclusive giveaways, and surprise guest appearances throughout the race weekend. The grand opening of OKX Race Club is scheduled for 14:00 SGT on Thursday, September 14, with free tickets available for fans.

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “Our partnership with OKX goes from strength to strength, and it’s fantastic to celebrate it with this incredible livery. Stealth Mode flips our race car’s colors, bringing something exciting and different to these two great races in Singapore and Japan. We hope fans will love it as much as we do and get a chance to enjoy the fan zone to connect with our team. OKX is a dedicated supporter of McLaren’s journey, and in turn, we’re proud to bring our partnership to life on track through the global platform of Formula 1.”

“Success on the track, and in the Web3 world, is only possible through teamwork, creativity, and innovation. Stealth Mode is inspired by these common principles. It’s also a way for us to celebrate the return of F1 to the Asia Pacific region, which is the epicenter of Web3 in many ways. As Stealth Mode hits the track this weekend, we wish the best of luck to Lando and Oscar in what we hope will be a strong-performing MCL60.” Echoed Haider Rafique, Chief Marketing Officer of OKX.
