Tropical spans the canvas of the 20th century, inviting us to delve into the stories of artists who dared to reclaim their narratives. With over 200 works of art, ranging from paintings and sculptures to drawings and performances, this exhibit unveils the indomitable spirit of artists who forged connections and solidarities across continents. These creators, hailing from Southeast Asia and Latin America, reclaimed their rightful place in the annals of art history, defying colonial forces that sought to diminish their voices.
