Conveniently located at the entrance of the newly opened Bird Paradise, this outlet brings about a myriad of food and beverage offerings to park visitors while showcasing Starbucks’ commitment towards sustainability and the earth.
Through carefully curated materials, the overall Starbucks Experience and impactful collaboration with Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Starbucks Bird Paradise would not only be a picturesque rest stop for your day of exploration but also the next certified Greener Store in Singapore!
This store is built with responsible materials that are environmentally friendly, specifically, the recycled wood used for the store’s bar ceiling, outdoor bench seating, planters and more. These reclaimed wood pieces are endorsed by The Singapore Environment Council to be Green Label certified.
The careful selection of new store elements is a step taken towards Starbucks’ overall goal of being resource positive.
Additionally, the store equipment is energy and water efficient to help reduce overall energy and water consumption, while still maintaining seamless work processes for our partners. All water faucets, including spray heads, aerators and blender rinsers are 3-tick certified, which is the maximum rating of water-saving standards for appliances in Singapore. The refrigerator, ice machine, water heater freezer and dishwasher are also specially sourced to ensure overall energy efficiency for all appliances in store.
Aside from these sustainability-focused elements, the store is also thoughtfully designed to form the harmony of Starbucks and Mandai Wildlife Group’s Bird Paradise. Inspired by the beauty of nature and wildlife at Bird Paradise, this store features a specially customized Starbucks artwork in collaboration with local artist Rippleroot at the store’s entrance. With the iconic Starbucks Siren greeting you by the door, this hand-painted mural depicts the imagery of a coffee oasis, nestled in the heart of nature and vibrant landscapes.
Walking past the entrance, you will also notice another impactful detail incorporated into the store. The year 1971 is engraved on the back of the Starbucks signage signifies the year when both Starbucks and the original Singapore Bird Park opened its doors to the public.
As Starbucks strives to promote a culture of sustainability, you are also encouraged to use “for-here” dining ware in stores and bring your own bags and tumblers to reduce the use of disposables at all Starbucks outlets.
For takeaway orders, Starbucks also promotes eco-friendly practices by offering you sustainable packaging options, including paper bags made of 95% post-consumer fibre, 100% recycled napkins, strawless lids, compostable straws, and biodegradable cutlery.
From 8 to 31 May, enjoy a free choice of plant-based milk with any drink purchase when you visit Starbucks Bid Paradise. You may choose from all 4 available types of plant-based milk: Soy, Oat, Almond and Coconut, and customise the drink of your choice!
Also, be one of the first 2,000 customers to get a free Starbucks Reusable Cup when you spend $20 at Starbucks Bird Paradise, while stocks last. Bringing around this reusable cup or any reusable tumbler also gets you a 50-cent discount on your drink purchases at ALL Starbucks outlets.
