If a regular gym doesn’t cut it for you, FOXX high-tech and smart gym might

Ken Mok picked the quaint neighbourhood of Joo Chiat to open his first boutique fitness gym – FiiTBOXX – back in January this year. With curated modern equipment, smart integrated technology, and boutique gym amenities, the gym is a one-stop strength, cardio, and functional training facility. And yet, that’s still not enough to offer that extra spark in the workout experience.

But FOXX, Singapore’s first boutique high-intensity interval training (HIIT) studio, might. And it’s the brainchild of Ken and his business partner and close friend Joyce Hayati Tan, launching on 3 December 2022.

Situated right above FiiTBOXX at Joo Chiat, FOXX aims to revolutionise HIIT workouts and provide a strong community experience, through its proprietary Into The Zone (ITZ) Series, created by Jen Goh, Vice President of Group Fitness and Master Coach.

The ITZ Series, an intensive circuit training programme combining cardio with strength and boxing, utilises specialised equipment, including a specially designed FOXX TROT Sand Step Board and FOXX Abs-Glute Roller, which are lightweight and non-bulky, suitable even for beginners and individuals with no prior fitness experience.

Workouts are also results-driven, where a Myzone heart-rate belt allows you to track your performance through a studio screen display, ensuring training at optimum intensity. Coupled with an upbeat environment consisting of light and sound from a rhythm lighting system, the ITZ Series motivates and drives you to challenge your limits.

You can seamlessly book a session at FOXX through the FiiTBOXX application. Priding itself as a high-tech and smart gym, FOXX even has personalised lockers with smart facial recognition.

And to encourage physical activity for youths, FOXX will also offer group fitness classes on weekends for youths aged 9-14, incorporating the use of smaller weights, battle ropes, and boxing moves, while focusing on functional movements to increase strength and stamina.

FiiTBOXX presently has 300 regular members and personal training clients, and has seen a 25% month-on-month membership growth. Ken is consistently refining and innovating the brand’s workout programmes and equipment to meet their consumers’ needs.

FOXX is also looking to expand and franchise three studios islandwide by 2023.
