[Review] Sustainabili-Teas from Boxgreen: fairly sourced and sustainably teas, packed in Changi Prison

Known for their healthy, plant-based snacks such as their best-selling Crunchies range which includes vacuum-fried Mushroom Chips and Honey Mustard Soya Crisps, Boxgreen has launched a new sustainable tea range to pair with the snacking experience.

There are four Asian-inspired flavours to choose from for their Sustainabili-Teas range: Lychee Green Tea, Osmanthus Oolong Tea, Caramel Hojicha Tea and Honey Pear Pu-Erh Tea.

Made from 100% natural tea leaves, fruits, and flowers, Boxgreen teas feature ingredients that are fairly sourced and sustainably packed. All the packaging is made from biodegradable and renewable material, the pyramid tea bags are made from 100% non-GMO sugarcane, the inner pouch is made from paper and corn-based bioplastic, and the box is made
from FSC-certified paper and printed with soy ink. Hence the name, Sustainabili-Teas.

As we approach the year-end gifting season, Boxgreen’s Sustainabili-Teas set will make a great gift that is not just sustainability conscious but also giving back to the community.

Sipping tea with Boxgreen also helps them in their quest to empower people in vulnerable communities that they work with. These teas are packed by inmates in their Changi Prison workshop as they aim to provide training opportunities and enhance their employability.

Founded in July 2014, Boxgreen is a food company that brings wholesome products to homes and offices. All boxgreen products are nutritionist approved, natural and free of artificial flavours and colours.

Boxgreen is a member of the B Corp community, having met B Corp’s rigorous standards of social and environmental accountability. The social enterprise aspires to use the power of markets to solve social and environmental problems and with one goal in mind: using business as a force for good.
