Know for their value-for-money, hearty gourmet grilled meat dishes, home-grown western food brand, Meat n’ Chill, ventured into the gourmet burger space earlier this year with the launch of their first-ever ‘Prototype 1’ burger, created by their Head Chef Bruce.
Encouraged by the response, with the burgers selling out within 48 hours of their limited-time launch, a new burger brand, Burgercraft was added as a delivery and takeaway only concept brand.
One of the highlights of Burgercraft is their Japanese Wagyu X Angus Patty Blend. This 160g flame-grilled heavyweight is a blend of the highest-grade Japanese A5 Tochigi Wagyu Steak and dry-aged Australian Angus Beef. The team claimed to have spent months sourcing for the premium Tochigi Wagyu in Singapore as only 3,500 cattle are certified in Japan to be of top quality each year.
The newest BURGER LOVER Series from Burgercraft is said to have taken over a year of intensive research and over 57 rounds of experimentation to develop. As the A5 Tochigi Wagyu is in short supply, limited burgers are available daily.
The series consists of three new burgers:
For The Carnivores ($22): Toasted Bun, Secret Wagyu-Angus Patty, Thick-Cut Bacon, Monterey Jack Cheese, Smoked Umami Mayo, Pickled Onion Jam, Steakhouse Seasoning
The Next ‘Big Thing’($20): Toasted Bun, Secret Wagyu-Augus Patty, Monterey Jack Cheese, Szechuan Mala Mayo, Raw Onions
Good O’ Classic ($18): Toasted Bun, Secret Wagyu-Angus Patty, Monterey Jack Cheese, Smoked Umami Mayo, Caramelised Onions, Pickles, Chef Bruce’s Signature BBQ Sauce (10yrs in the making)
From the previous launch, there is also the Smash Burger ($15 for single patty and $21 for double patties): Toasted Bun, Secret Wagyu-Angus Patty, American Cheddar Cheese, Iceberg Lettuce, Ketchup, Mustard, Mayonnaise.
Each burger order comes with a choice of two sides – Straight Cut Fries, Mash Potatoes, Cornbread or Coleslaw.
We like how the patties come wrapped separately from the buns and other toppings so it is not all squishy and messy upon delivery. Instead, you can easily assemble the juicy patties and the corresponding buns together yourself to form the perfect burger to sink your teeth into.
I am a hearty meat eater and I love my burger patties thick, soft, juicy on the inside and slightly charred on the outside. Burgercraft’s Japanese Wagyu X Angus Patty Blend delivers on both taste and texture at very reasonable prices, compare to many other gourmet burger brands.
