From 14 June to 1 July, senior citizens aged 60 and above will be able to enjoy 5% storewide at Giant outlets islandwide on weekdays, up from the current 3% discount.
With the recent increase in inflationary pressures, the leading food retailer aims to extend its support to more vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, to help them cushion the impact of the rising cost of living. To date, Giant is the only supermarket that is offering storewide discounts for those aged over 60 every single weekday.
Giant has been offering senior citizens an additional 3% discount every weekday since June 2021, just one of the many ways that Giant is supporting Singaporeans through the challenges of rising inflation.
In March 2022, the retailer announced an extension of its Lower Prices That Last (LPTL) campaign, which was first launched in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under LTPL, the prices of over 800 essential products – ranging from fresh foods, personal care, household essentials and Giant’s very own award-winning brand, Meadows – will be kept stable till well into this year.
Giant is committed to supporting Singaporeans through the challenges of inflation with initiatives like Lower Prices That Last and its Senior Citizen discount scheme.
