[New] Maruhachi Donburi and Curry offers Limited Edition Cheese Menchi Katsu Dishes from $10.80

Two Limited Edition Cheese Menchi Katsu dishes

For the month of June, try their two new Cheese Menchi Katsu dishes which use Australian cheddar and quality pork cuts freshly flown from the US. Available until 30 June 2022.

First up is the Cheese Katsu Menchi Katsu set ($12.80). It’s a wholesome set with 2 cheese-filled meat patties. I absolutely loved how the cheese was extremely soft and runny, complementing the flavourful and tender meat. Paired with the tangy savoury katsu sauce, it was perfect. Ground sesame seeds add fragrance to the dish.

The Cheese Menchi Katsu Curry ($10.80) is perfect for Japanese curry lovers. I loved how it wasn’t greasy, the 100% cottonseed oil they use really makes a difference. After trying it, I definitely see why it’s a popular choice!

Other items on the menu

I also tried the Pork Katsu Don ($9.80) and their signature Black pig Katsu Set ($14.80). The best part was the thick cuts of meat that were tender. I was really surprised at how much meat there was given the wallet-friendly prices.

Maruhachi offers a wide range of meats and dishes. Thinking seafood instead? They offer options such as Una Tama don ($11.80). If you’re not a rice lover, they also have udon.
