Huawei unveils the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 and HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner that will arrive in Singapore from 18 December 2021. Powered by HarmonyOS, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 delivers a more accurate health and fitness monitoring backed by scientific data as well as a new dynamic interface design.
Meanwhile, the HUAWEI GT Runner is the first of its kind smartwatch for runners with a science-based and professional training approach developed from HUAWEI Health Lab.
With the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 46mm weighing in at just 42.6g, and the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 42mm weighing 35g, this ultra-portable and lightweight smartwatch is the perfect companion for anyone.
Bringing a brand-new smart interactive experience, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 comes with a rotating crown with tactile feedback, offering high-precision finger movement recognition. The new chessboard design of the launcher can be moved and zoomed freely. Always on display Dials (AODs) can stay awake during daily usage, and custom watch faces also allow exercise data and applications to be easily accessed just by lifting the wrist.
The 46mm version supports a 14-day battery life in typical usage, while the 42mm offers 7-day of long battery life in typical usage.
With the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series featuring the upgraded HUAWEI TruSeenTM 5.0+, the advanced heart rate monitoring technology enables users to accurately keep track of their heart rates even during high intensity exercises. Acting as a personal trainer on the wrist, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series analyses and records data from workouts quickly, generating recommendations on exercise intensity and volume to maximise the benefits of workouts.
To empower users to take charge of their wellness, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series tracks their SpO2, sleep cycle, stress levels, menstrual cycles and more.
Additionally, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series is programmed with over 100 workout modes, including 18 professional workouts, 12 outdoor workouts, and 6 indoor workouts to cater to a wide range of exercise routines.
HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series debuts the AI Running Coach App. This app helps users analyze their behavior, understand their exercise patterns and adapt to mobile shifts in training programs. Another new upgrade for a more personalized experience is Huawei’s newest ability measurement – the Running Ability Index (RAI) – which helps to analyze running performance after each session, providing users with on the go updates.
It also keeps users in tune with their mental and physical needs through the Healthy Living Shamrock app. This application generates regular reminders to keep users accountable for their daily water intake, mindfulness, sleep and more in the form of small daily challenges.
The number of third-party apps on the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 is also continuously growing, covering lifestyle, health, entertainment and productivity. Users can explore apps such as Plano, Nestia, Tick Tick, Focus To-Do, myTuner Radio and more.
HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner consists of a lightweight and high-strength composite fiber watch case, which not only increases durability, but it also reduces the inaccuracy of GPS and enhances the positioning efficiency. Also, it is matched with a silicon nitride ceramic ultra-light bezel and aerospace-grade titanium alloy crown.
The weight of the entire watch body is as light as 38.5g, which brings means runners can barely notice it as they run, and the lighter the watch is, the less movement during running, further ensuring the accuracy of dynamic heart rate monitoring.
The watch provides runners a comfortable wearing experience, accurate dynamic heart rate and SpO2 monitoring based on HUAWEI TruSeenTM 5.0+ and Dual-Band Five-System GNSS to bring accurate positioning, and record every run of the user.
The Running Ability Index (RAI) and AI Running Coach allow users to accurately evaluate their performance and improve training quality. The RAI is a comprehensive index used to measure the endurance level and technique efficiency of a runner. Generally, a runner with a higher RAI performs better.
After intelligently identifying the user’s ability level based on the RAI, user’s personal physical and running history data, combined with training objectives and performance requirements, the HUAWEI Health App can design a personalised training plan for the user.
Many features found in Huawei smartwatches are developed in the HUAWEI Health Lab. For example, the team has gone through complex R&D simulations and tests to unlock data behind calorie measurement, VO2 max, heart rate and other health monitoring algorithms, providing greater data accuracy to users.
Pre-order for HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 and HUAWEI WATCH Runner will be available from 11 – 17 December 2021 at all Huawei Authorised Stores, selected consumer electronic stores, as well as official online stores on Lazada and Shopee.
