We were treated to an enthralling acrobatic musical Jolly Holly. This 45 minutes exclusive Christmas production by Dream Cruises’ entertainment team centers around a lonely boy whose Christmas wish is for his toys to be brought to life.
Spell-binding and stunning, the performance does a great job of putting the magic in Christmas.
We also previewed the headliner show LUMIERE by Comedian Txema that will be on board this season. This skit which invites audience participation promises to be a favorite of young kids.
What’s Christmas without the feasting? The Yuletide merriment continues at lunch, with delicious and fancily-plated delights. On the menu were Prawn Cocktail with truffle-scented Marie rose sauce, Butternut squash soup, Roast turkey with chestnut stuffing, maple-glazed carrots & cranberry sauce, and for dessert, apple walnut spiced cake with honey and cream cheese frosting.
Guests travelling on Christmas eve or Christmas day can expect to feast on succulent Roast Turkey, Scandinavian Salmon, Lohikeitto (Finish Salmon Soup), and classic Scandinavian desserts like the signature Norwegian Kransekake (almond cookie rings cake), Julpepparkakor (Spicy Ginger Cookies), Lussebullar (sweet bun that is flavoured with saffron and contains dried fruit) and many more– all included in the fare.
Dream Cruises will also be offering experiences to unique Nordic traditions and cultures with different workshops – Build A Swedish Tomte, “Julehjerter” Danish Heart Weaving, Norway Northern Lights Scratch Art, Nordic Christmas Ornament Making, and more!
We had the opportunity to make our very own Christmas Stocking under the watchful eyes of staff dressed as Squid Game masked workers.
Next up, we checked out the new pop-up Christmas kiosks and the Lobby cafe with exquisite Christmas cards, wines, and Nordic-inspired baked treats by the cruise’s in-house bakers for sale.
After sampling a fruit cake, we were convinced they tasted as good as they looked.
Other Christmas-themed activities are available at the Little Dreamers Academy at Sea for the children. Special Holiday Feasts are available at the cruise’s specialty restaurants and do check out the special menu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
Find out more and book this festive cruise here from now till 29th December 2021 for sailings between 17 November 2021 to 1 January 2022.
