Zouk Group brings to you two new Japanese dining concepts tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Clarke Quay. The first is Sushi Ichizuke, a vibe dining omakase restaurant and Clarke Quay’s only omakase restaurant within The Cannery, and the second is Here Kitty Kitty, a secretive speakeasy bar fashioned after a 1950s vice den.
Zouk Group’s very first omakase restaurant will find a permanent home with Sushi Ichizuke, allowing diners to embark on a gastronomic voyage through time — all within a highly energized and musically-driven environment. The space can seat 16 in the main dining area, with two private rooms that can seat eight and 12 respectively.
Set in a space where tradition meets modernity, embark on a culinary journey of epic proportions by Head Chef Ryoichi Nakatani. A Japanese native from the Chiba Prefecture near Tokyo, Chef Nakatani spent many years honing his craft at a restaurant in the famed Tsukiji Fish Market – one of the largest wholesale fish markets in Japan.
Diners can look forward to a unique dining experience through his intricate curing techniques, precise knife skills and the seemingly simple artform of sushi-making that he has refined over the last 20 years.
To ensure diners are only served the finest produce, the restaurant’s menu consists of fresh, seasonal ingredients imported twice a week from Tokyo’s Toyosu Fish Market.
Some of Chef Nakatani’s most notable dishes include:
Sushi Ichizuke’s lunch menu starts from $80++ (five courses) to $180++ (seven courses) and the dinner menu starts from $220++ (seven courses) to $380++ (eight courses).
Diners can also enhance their dining experience with à la carte add-ons such as Miyazake Beef 60g ($45++), Special Kaisen Tempura ($45++) and A5 Wagyu, Uni and Ikura Don ($100++), Ichizuke Kaisen Roll ($100++) and Ichizuke Kaisen Don ($100++).
