Swatow Seafood Restaurant is celebrating its 11th anniversary in Singapore by offering signature dishes at 50% off across three outlets in the month of September. In addition, it is bringing back its popular Afternoon Tea Dim Sum Buffet which features over 40 all-you-can-eat handmade Hong Kong dim sum from only $25.80 per pax.
Known for its authentic, traditional Teochew cuisine and handmade Hong Kong dim sum, the brand has a loyal following among foodies in Singapore. I am half-Teochew and the restaurant was popular with my elderly Teochew grandparents when they were around. Teochew people have picky taste buds and tend to stick to classic dishes, prepared in the same traditional ways for generations.

Tuck into steamed classic dim sum dishes such as Siew Mai with Fish Roe, Chives & Prawns Dumplings, Mini Pork Dumplings and the signature Teochew Steamed Crystal Dumplings, as well as new items like Black Truffle Prawn Dumpling, Old Day’s Ma Lai Gao, Ah Gong Carrot Bowl Cake and Ah Ma Yam Bowl Cake.
There is also an assortment of deep-fried dim sum like Pan Fried Gyoza, Sesame BBQ Pork Pastry and Crispy Shrimp Dumpling, accompanied by new creations like Fried Prawn Paste Stuff Sugar Cane, Crispy Prawn Paste with Toasted Bread, Deep-Fried Xiao Long Bao and Deep-Fried Snow Gyoza.
The little ones are not left out as the Kids’ Dim Sum section features cute and colourful bites like Purple Potatoes Cream Toast, Golden Salted Egg Lava Toast, Piggy Bun, Hong Kong Polo Bun, Mini Egg Tarts and Egg Waffles.
Other items on the buffet menu includes Chee Cheong Fun Rice Rolls (choice of char siew or fresh shrimp); wok-charred Fried Carrot Cake; Century Egg with Lean Meat Porridge and a Swatow Laksa.

The Afternoon Tea Dim Sum Buffet is priced at $25.80++ per adult and $16.80++ per child on weekdays, and $28.80++ per adult and $19.80++ per child on weekends. The buffet is available daily at the Toa Payoh outlet, and on weekends and public holidays at the Serangoon Gardens and Bukit Batok Home TeamNS outlets.
