Due to COVID-19, the Istana grounds has been closed to the public since February 2020. With the further easing of community measures in Phase 3 of re-opening, the Istana will be reopening the grounds for IOH in stages and with safe management measures in place.
To better manage the number of visitors in Istana at any one time, visitors who wish to visit the Istana on 13 May 2021 will have to register in advance. Tickets will be allotted based on two-hourly time slots and on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are no charges for the tickets.

Visitors to this Instana Open House can look forward to the many gardens and open spaces within the Istana grounds, including the new “Inclusive Garden” launched by President Halimah in February 2021. However, to avoid gathering of large groups, there will be no performances, tours, booths or food trucks within the Istana grounds during this IOH, unlike previous ones.
The main building will also not be open to public.
Safe distancing ambassadors will be deployed to ensure visitors observe safe distancing measures. The Istana seeks visitors’ cooperation and understanding so that the Istana Open House will be a pleasant experience for all.
Ticket registration will begin on 29 April (10 AM) here.
