Gone are the days of self-help buffets.
Buffet, served Ala carte style, is now the norm thanks to safe-distancing measures.
But who else finds it tedious having to catch the server’s attention each time we want to order more of something? And not to mention feeling a tad self-conscious when asking for the Nth serving of what’s-your-favorite-food!
If the above describes how you feel too, then you have more reasons to love the Mother of All Brunches at SO/Sofitel’s Xperience.
All the food is piled generously on your table. That’s right, the buffet is right under your nose, on your table-just look at the three-tiered tower of tantalizing temptations, and the glorious platters of seafood:
Is it any wonder the Mother of all Brunches comes with the official advisory to “wear your stretchy pants”?
“The Mother of All Towers” comes in two sizes- Medium ($138 / serves 2-3) and Large ($268/ serves 4-5). We went in a group of four, so we had the large option.
Besides “Mother of All Towers”, there is also the SO/ Brunch Tower, which differs in some of the seafood and meat options, priced at $88 for Medium and $178 for large.
Here’s a closer look at this insanely indulgent and instagram-worthy treat of a tower. The Chef changes up the offerings each month to keep things fresh!
Bottom tray: Roasted vegetables, toasted sourdough, chilled balsamic mushroom & scrambled eggs garnished with chopped fresh herbs, artisan cold cuts & cheeses served with pickles, marmalade & condiments, rocket salad.
Middle tray: Australian Striploin Steak with Caramelised Onion, Dijon Mustard & Pickles, Bratwurst & Lamb Sausage served with Caramelized Onion, Sweet & Spicy Whole Bone in Chicken Thigh, Mala Crawfish, Tater Tots with Spinach Cream.
Top tray: Pancakes loaded with Chantilly Cream, Maple Syrup, Brown Butter & Fresh Berries, Donuts & Mini Muffins, Fruits, crowned with a Cornetto Ice Cream
The idea is to have the ice cream melt and drip all over the pancakes as diners leisurely work their way through level one and two of the tower. Decadent.
While we are on brunches, be sure to check out Singapore’s first boozy pancakes brunch, only available on Sundays!
If the tower of food is still not enough, seafood platters are also available to bring the insanity and luxury up a notch.
1/2 Dozen Pacific Oysters $22 / 1 Dozen Pacific Oysters $42
Loaded Seafood Platter $138 (per platter / serves 2-4): 1 piece of Boston lobster (approx. 500gm), 300gm Tiger Prawns, 300gm Mussels, 6 Hokkaido Scallops & 1 Dozen Pacific Oysters
For drinkers- there’s the roving Gin cart for you to customize drinks of your fancy. Free-flow drink packages (2 hours) are available too.
