WhatsApp launches “Carts” allowing you to shop on the App – here’s how it works

WhatsApp is adding Carts to its WhatsApp Business App, making shopping on WhatsApp more seamless and intuitive. This adds to the new shopping experience that many small business owners are already creating for their customers – just in time for the holiday gifting season.

A new shopping experience with the WhatsApp Business App With 220,000 small businesses in Singapore, providing employment for 65% of the workforce, SMBs are the heart of this nation’s economy and they’re currently facing very challenging times.

Given the need to maintain social distance, many of them are already turning to digital tools like WhatsApp Business to keep close connection and high interactivity with their customers.

The new Carts feature lets people quickly add goods or services they want from a business’ Catalog, and then send the order as one message to the business. This makes it much easier for people to let businesses know what they would like to buy, and for the business to keep track of order inquiries, manage requests from customers and close sales.

You don’t need to download a separate app – you can simply chat with businesses through the WhatsApp messenger app that you use every day.

Shopping on WhatsApp
