Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021: How will you commemorate the coming new year?

In the blink of an eye, we are now nearing the end of the year. Soon, 2020 will be history, and future generations will always remember 2020 as the year Covid-19 was unleashed on the human race, causing destructions and misery to millions of lives and livelihoods.

This too shall pass

Clichéd as it is, I believe in the saying: “This too shall pass.” Bad times or good times, life will, and still must go on. No matter how 2020 has been for you, it is worth commemorating its end and to celebrate the ushering of a brand new year. Believe that the coming year will always be better- this has been the eternal hope and goal sustaining the human race since time immemorial. Tomorrow will always be a better day.

New year countdowns

How would you celebrate the new year? For me, I love attending new year countdown parties. Soaking in the expectant and jubilant atmosphere of the crowd reinvigorates me. When I travel overseas to experience the countdown celebrations in different countries, I always book cheap flight tickets so that I can save my budget for things that are more important to me- good food, shopping, and admission tickets to attractions!

Satisfy our wanderlust, but safety comes first

If you love traveling like me, then it is music to our ears that more and more countries are opening up their borders to tourists and setting up travel bubbles. While we now have more options to satisfy our wanderlust, safety must always come first. We must be sure to adhere to all safe-distancing and hygiene protocols set by the authorities to prevent an outbreak of covid-19 again.

Dubai

Dubai has always been a destination on my travel bucket list, so I am glad to know the country is already on the path to relative normalcy, thanks to early and strict interventions by the government. I might not be able to travel out of my country this year due to restrictions my country still has in place. But if you can travel, you can book your affordable flights with Air Arabia

According to this website, there will be 3 main fireworks displays in Dubai this new year – at the Burj Khalifa, Burj al Arab, and Atlantis the Palm. Below are pictures of fireworks in the past! Look at how magnificent, awe-inspiring, and breathtaking they are.

Fireworks are a splendid way to welcome new beginnings. We all have different hopes and dreams for the new year, but I am sure for most of us, we will invest in this year’s fireworks the symbolic meaning of washing away the bad luck of Covid-19 and bringing in good news, such as the discovery of an effective Covid-19 vaccine!
