Whether you’re single by choice, are currently going through fresh heartbreak, or are looking for new reasons to believe in love again; here are the movies you can watch on Netflix depending on your heart’s status this Valentine’s Day.
Have you been crushing on your best friend for the longest time? Watch When We First Met. Not your conventional romance movie, it revolves around a guy named Noah (Adam DeVine), who is madly in love with his best friend Avery (Alexandra Daddario). When a magical photo booth sends him back in time to the night they first met, he tries his best to win her over and get her to see him in a different light.
Has your heart been broken recently? Watch Someone Great. Dumped by her long-term boyfriend, a journalist (Gina Rodriguez) decides to leave the city and gets her best friends (DeWanda Wise and Brittany Snow) together for one last unforgettable adventure in the city. This movie will make you feel sooo many things. (Get your tissues ready!)
Looking for a feel-good movie that will make you believe in love again? Watch Always be My Maybe. Ali Wong and Randall Park play childhood sweethearts who see each other again after going separate ways for 15 years. Although living in completely different worlds now, sparks still fly, but will they be able to make it work? Watch out for Keanu Reeves’ surprise cameo in this.
Obsessed with work? Set It Up is the movie for you. Set mostly in the office, two overworked and underpaid assistants (Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell) plan to set up their bosses (Lucy Liu and Taye Diggs), so they can finally have a life outside of work. Whether you’re the overworked assistant or the terror boss, this movie is sure to put a smile on your face.
Does seeing lovey-dovey couples left and right annoy you? Do you sometimes ask yourself why you’re still single? Isn’t It Romantic might just change your dreary outlook on life and love. Natalie (Rebel Wilson) constantly complains about things in this movie until she gets mugged and wakes up wearing rose-coloured glasses and feeling like she is being treated differently. This movie could be all you need to make a few changes in your own life and to perk up a little.
If you’re spending Valentine’s Day alone, why not binge-watch everything on this list, regardless of how your heart feels? Let us know what you thought of the movies in the comments section after you watch them!
