Gojek kicks off a month-long series of initiatives to mark the first anniversary since launching its ride-hailing service in Singapore. They will include special rewards and initiatives for Gojek customers and driver-partners – and culminate in the reveal of exciting new announcements, as well as an official birthday party on 29 November 2019.
Driver-partners will receive upgraded benefits under GoalBetter. Gojek driver-partners can now enjoy insurance coverage for the loss of income due to pre-existing medical conditions – a first for gig economy workers in Singapore.
This comes as part of an extended partnership between Gojek and its insurance partner, Gigacover, to offer even better protection to Gojek driver-partners. To qualify, driver-partners must be subscribed to Gigacover’s Freelancer Earnings Protection Insurance and be covered continuously for a period of at least 12 months.
In addition, driver-partners will soon be able to enjoy subsidised primary healthcare rates at close to 500 clinics islandwide, on top of subsidised video medical consultation. This is part of an expanded partnership between Gojek and Doctor Anywhere (DA), a healthcare company with both online and offline medical platforms. By simply flashing their DA membership e-Card, found on their DA app, drivers can enjoy subsidised medical consultation when they visit any of DA’s 500 affiliated clinics across Singapore.
Throughout November, consumers stand to win a slew of Gojek ride vouchers. To win, they can participate in ‘Spot the Gojek’, a snap and win contest for which a number of private-hire vehicles – especially wrapped in Gojek’s first-birthday stickers – will be hitting the roads.
Simply spot a Gojek-branded car on the road, share a picture of the stickered car on Facebook or Instagram, and tag ‘Gojek Singapore’ or @gojeksg. Twenty winners will each receive $50 in ride vouchers.
Commuters can also participate in Gojek’s social media contest, ‘Would you rather?’. Simply cast your vote on trending topics on Gojek’s Facebook or Instagram pages, and stand a chance to be one of 1,000 winners of ride vouchers worth $10.
Gojek has also introduced multiple safety features to its app, including ‘Share my trip’ and number masking, both of which have delivered a more secure and reliable experience for commuters and drivers.
