YoRipe App – Southeast Asia’s first one-stop cooking and grocery lifestyle app, with over 1,000 Asian-inspired recipes

YoRipe launches YoRipe application – Southeast Asia’s first one-stop personalised cooking & grocery lifestyle app for Asians. YoRipe is partnering household brands such as Lee Kum Kee and Knorr, and local artisanal brands such as Kroodi and Modern Mum, offering recipes that will enable families to cook smarter and have more options based on their favourite ingredients.

Singaporeans are becoming more health-conscious, and are taking actions to adjust their diets, adopting different diets such as the ketogenic diet, a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet; or a pescatarian diet, which omits meat; or simply a low-sugar diet to improve their well-being. As a result, more Singaporeans are transitioning to cooking at home instead of eating out to have more control over what they eat.

The idea behind YoRipe was mooted to encourage and educate Singaporeans to prepare meals with healthier choices, that even with dietary restrictions, tasty and easy recipes can still be made.

YoRipe App features

With the YoRipe application, users can key in their dietary preferences – such as avoiding certain food or the kind of diets that they are on and highlight their desired outcomes – such as weight loss or muscle building. The application will take into account different dietary preferences, the number of people dining and different culinary proficiencies, and curate a list of recipes for users to easily prepare at home.

Users can also generate a smart grocery list from the selected recipes in the application for easy reference when shopping.  The application currently hosts a curation of over 1,000 Asian-inspired recipes to cater to different taste buds.

Moving forward, YoRipe is looking to enable grocery delivery and add more features on to their application such as managing your available ingredients and recommend recipes based on whatever is left in the fridge, saving money and reducing waste at the same time.

As of today, YoRipe has already over 4,000 early adopters and has attracted around US$300,000 in pre-seed funding from talent incubator Antler, National University of Singapore’s entrepreneurial arm NUS Enterprise, and angel investors.

The YoRipe mobile application is available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Visit here for more information.
