Millennium Hotels and Resorts launch specialty M Wines and M Brew, catered to local palates

Craft brew and wine enthusiasts, this one’s for you! In case you haven’t heard, Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) recently launched their very own privatebeer and wine collection, exclusively available at their six properties across the island.

M Brew, brewed specially for MHR by local craft beer powerhouse Archipelago Brewery, offers a brand new fusion of all our favourite Singaporean flavours. With an aroma of coconut and caramel, it boasts a vanilla-like pandan finish. Doesn’t that sound like a treat?

Along with M Brew, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Sauvignon Blanc with a 2018 vintage from Australia’s Buronga Hill Estate in New South Wales have been handpicked as the first two wines in the house brand line.

The Cabernet Sauvignon has a rich dark cherry and blackberry aroma with a subtle oak finish of chocolate and vanilla, and is best enjoyed with red meats.

The Sauvignon Blanc presents tropical fruit and herbaceous notes with a zesty lime finish that is great with seafood and fresh pasta.

We got the chance to try all three at the launch party last week, where executive chefs from the six hotels came together to debut their exclusive food and wine pairing selection.

M Wine Cabernet Sauvignon, with subtle hints of cinnamon and vanilla, goes great with Café 2000’s Premium Lobster Seafood Fried Rice (S$38) and savoury meats:

Premium Lobster Seafood Fried Rice (S$38) from Café 2000 at M Hotel

Crispy Roasted Duck (S$85) from Hua Ting at Orchard Hotel

Cold Cuts Selection: Parma Ham, Coppa, Mortedella with Foccacia Bread, Pickles and Condiments (S$20) from Grissini at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel

Charcoal Grilled Wagyu Beef Burger (S$30) from The Orchard Cafe at Orchard Hotel

Rack of Lamb, Red Wine Shallot Sauce (S$36.90) and Greenland Halibut with White Wine Butter Cream Sauce (S$25.90) from Starscafe/Princess Terrace at Copthorne King’s Hotel

M Wine Sauvignon Blanc, on the other hand, is perfect for lighter seafood dishes like the Greenland Halibut with White Wine Butter Cream Sauce (S$25.90) from Starscafe/Princess Terrace. Its classic notes of passionfruit, cut grass, and hints of peach also pair well with pasta and salads:

Making of Pesto Lobster Fettucine (S$28) from Mon Bijou at Orchard Hotel Singapore

Pumpkin & Feta Salad (S$13) from Memo at Studio M Hotel

Octopus (S$42) and Burrata Pugliese (S$26) from Grissini at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel

To celebrate the official release of M Brew and M Wines, the launch party featured a photobooth and beer pong competitions, as well as presentations of the new house labels.

According to Master Brewer Robert Beck, the man behind the creation of M Brew, you should breathe out through both your nose and mouth after taking the first sip of your M Brew to truly appreciate the taste!

As the cherry on top of this delightful night of sumptuous food and drink, there was also an on-site caricaturist to customise stickers that could be pasted on guests’ M Wine bottles and taken home as souvenirs.

These new gastronomic offerings reflect MHR’s dedication to constantly improving and innovating their guest experience.

“We are always committed to delivering the best to all our guests,” says Andy Wong, Vice President, Food & Beverage, Asia of Millennium Hotels and Resorts. “Whether they’re staying, working, or dining with us, we hope that the launch of M Brew and M Wines is another step in inviting our guests to create unique memories with Millennium Hotels and Resorts.”

The M Brew and M Wines will be available at all six MHR properties: Orchard Hotel, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, M Hotel, Studio M Hotel, M Social, and Copthorne King’s Hotel. You can get them at these special introductory prices till 31 July 2019:
