The presentation of ‘Til The End Of The World, We’ll Meet In No Man’s Land is part of TheatreWorks’ aim to present contemporary experiences and diverse, inclusive, artistic expressions that offer audiences in Singapore alternatives. It’s home, 72-13, is an incubator for provocative experiments by both artists and creatives while being a consistent conduit for dialogues between disciplines and cultures.

Inch Cha will focus on Antarctica. A place that has never known war, belongs to no nation and is home to no tribe or the indigenous human race. Antarctica is owned by no one and by everyone at the same time.

Inch travelled to Antarctica as a part of 2041’s International Antarctic ClimateForce Expedition led by veteran world explorer, Robert Swan and his son Barney Swan.

After that adventure, Inch returns home with a suitcase full of stories, sharing:

“I find myself walking in the snow, feeling equal parts alien and equal parts as one with the slush beneath my feet. No man’s land has been inviting and it/he/she beckons me into its cold embrace.

“Who am I when I’m with you? I tried talking to the winds; struggling to introduce myself and describe the world I came from to justifying my presence. Silence. For the first time, true silence. They say silence is deafening, I call bullshit. Silence is silence.

“What’s deafening is the strain to hear it through the thunderous throbs of my blood pumping through my veins. What are you? Where am I?”

Inch ventures deeper into script writing and presents her very first full-length script. The script is combined with Inch’s original compositions in a multi-sensory performance presented with binaural technology which is experienced through individual headphones for each audience.

Senses are heightened with the visual treat from the spatial and costume design, a variety of scents, and the “in-your-ear” binaural experience through each audience’s individual headphones.
