Lovebirds looking for a romantic getaway this Valentines can set their camp at River Safari’s newest camp experience “Romance by the River.” Remember the first spark with unforgettable wildlife experiences alongside a herd of majestic manatees.

Exclusive to an intimate group of 15 couples, guests will start the evening on 15 February 2019 as a tram whisks them away to a private clearing next to the scenic Upper Seletar Reservoir.

A host of nocturnal animal ambassadors wait to greet them for up-close interaction and photo opportunities, followed by a gourmet 4-course dinner in Singapore’s first luxury tipi tent, complete with air-conditioning and plush furnishings.

At night, guests will rest at the tranquil Amazon Flooded Forest in River Safari, where the world’s largest freshwater aquarium houses the park’s resident manatees, arapaima and other freshwater fish. Snuggle up to your significant other and drift off to sleep in private tents complete with air mattress and sleeping bags as the manatees float by.

Start the next day dining next to Singapore Zoo’s flagship orangutans at the award-winning Jungle Breakfast with Wildlife programme.

Lastly, conclude the romantic journey with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of River Safari’s Amazon Flooded Forest. Guests will have the rare opportunity to observe an aquarist’s training session with a manatee and witness an aquarist with hands-on food preparation and feeding sessions with 1.8m long arapaimas and silver arowanas.
