The Marina Bay and the Civic District are set to host an exciting line-up of events and activities for all ages and interests. Celebrate in the City, Marina Bay’s festive line-up of year-end activities will conclude on a high note with Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2019.

Build a Dream Light Projections

In partnership with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2019 presents the Build a Dream initiative, a collective effort to support the less fortunate in fulfilling their dreams and personal development.
As part of the initiative, artworks created by students and beneficiaries of local schools and welfare organisations will be transformed into a series of dazzling light projections on the facades of key landmarks around Marina Bay. These whimsical artworks portray the world seen through the eyes of these talented youths, as well as their aspirations for the future.
STAR ISLAND Singapore Countdown Edition in conjunction with Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2019

This multi-sensory fireworks musical will feature a combination of dazzling fireworks and pyrotechnics, lights, 3D surround sound and performance acts by Taiko drummers, dancers, fire performers and more. There will also be an F&B marketplace and family-friendly fringe activities such as retro arcade games, VR games booths and kids play area.
Let’s Celebrate 2019
Venue: The Promontory
Date: 31 December 2018
Time: Entry at 7 PM
Mediacorp’s Let’s Celebrate 2019 countdown show will be hosted by Chua En Lai and Sonia Chew, featuring Mediacorp artistes and local acts as they usher in the New Year. Visitors will get to enjoy live performances by Taufik Batisah, Gentle Bones, Joanna Dong, Sufi Rashid, Shabir, as well as the newly-crowned SPOP Sing! winner Jarrell Ng and the top three finalists.
On top of that, artistes Joel Choo, Pierre Png, Sheila Sim, Romeo Tan, Carrie Wong will collaborate with Singapore’s top fashion models and Aisyah Aziz to showcase works done by local designers. Entry is free.
Prudential Marina Bay Carnival
Venue: Bayfront Event Space

Time: 4 PM to 11 PM (extended hours till 2 AM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve)
The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival returns to Bayfront Event Space for the second year. Offering 50 thrilling rides and games, including four new ones, visitors are guaranteed an exciting time. Roving food trucks will be at hand to satiate hunger pangs; buskers will roll out entertainment, and visitors can learn new skills from local artisans through a curated series of art and craft workshops.
Esplanade Presents Come Together
Venue: Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay

Groove into the New Year at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre that will feature six different performances with acts by Nick Zavior, Amni Musfirah, Bloco Singapura and NovoBloco. Timothy Nga hosts this stellar line-up of musical talent that will serenade listeners into 2019. At the Esplanade Concourse, musician Bennett Bay together with Jana Ann and Rachel will return to for a series of three shows on New Year’s Eve.
Families for Life NYE Celebrations
Venue: Esplanade Park, Empress Lawn and Connaught Drive

Time: 5 PM to 11 PM
Families for Life (FFL)’s NYE Celebrations includes bouncy castles within Esplanade Park. At Empress Lawn, receive free picnic mats after “Liking” FFL’s Facebook page. Friends and families will get to take home their memories in the form of 3R photo prints at the instant photo booth after posting it on their social media accounts. FFL Mobile Café will be parked along Connaught Drive and will hand out free snacks and drinks to members of the public.
Countdown Movie Screening with MovieMob
Venue: Empress Lawn

Get entertained by back-to-back outdoor screenings of Night at The Museum and Night at the Museum 2, as well as live band performances by local bands and singers such as Ryan with Joy Alexis on guitar, from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM, and local band 23 Skyline from 11:30 PM to 11:59 PM, and after the fireworks till 12:30 AM.
Revelry Market

Shop to your heart’s content at Connaught Drive, with the TGIF Craft Market featuring an eclectic mix of hand-made goods, ladies’ apparel, innovative toys for children. Revellers can also hop on the Popcycle for a spin around Connaught Drive and Fullerton Road from 8:30 PM to 11 PM.
HPB Fitness Countdown Party 2019
Venue: Esplanade Park and St Andrew’s Road

Time: 5 PM to 12 MN
Indulge in some healthy fun with family-friendly activities including golf, archery, giant pong, and giant board games like Snakes and Ladders and Tic Tac Toe along St Andrew’s Road, as well as Bubble Soccer at Esplanade Park from 5-7 PM.
Fitness enthusiasts can go on to kick-start their New Year with the Countdown Dance Workout with Fight-Do, K-Kardio and Zumba, along St Andrews’ Road in front of the National Gallery Singapore.

Exhibitions at National Gallery Singapore
