Who is Glenn Goh Wei Liang? Is the ex-Navy operations supervisor STILL taking upskirt videos after serving jail time?

When will this sort of disgusting behaviour end? Military discipline AND a stint in jail don’t seem to have stamped out the desire to take upskirt photos that Glenn Goh Wei Liang seems to have.

Who is Glenn Goh Wei Liang?

According to official sources such as The Straits Times, the Navy operations supervisor was jailed last year for a total of eighteen (18) weeks following his conviction of taking upskirt photos for years. The report said that he victimized 50 women, and was only apprehended when one of the women’s boyfriend would not let him go when the latter had noticed something fishy about Glenn’s behaviour.

He was convicted of ten (10) counts of insulting a woman’s modesty.

Glenn was 28 when he started his criminal activity, where his usual modus was to sidle up to women in public places and try to place his phone with the camera on near their thighs, where he would then take the photos. Afterwards, he would use the videos and photos to satisfy his sexual desires. Some women would notice, but most of the time, they wouldn’t.

He was so into his illicit behaviour that he would spend several days on an upskirt recording binge, with his spree starting at 1:00pm then continuing with a new victim 1.5 hours later.

But he was finally caught in Upper Bukit Timah Road, where the boyfriend of one victim saw that Glenn was, “half-standing near the victim, with his right hand holding the phone under her skirt”.

When the boyfriend confronted him, he had said that he did not know that the camera of the phone was on and denied doing anything wrong. The boyfriend detained him until the police arrived.

His lame defense in court

While he pleaded guilty to all the offenses that were charged, his lawyer said that he was under “situational stress,” which was what lead him to that type of behaviour. This claim was presented to affect his sentencing.

Is Glenn Goh Wei Liang taking upskirt videos even after going to jail?

Recently, a distressed female Facebook user posted about her experience with a man whom she allegedly caught taking upskirt photos of her on her way home.

Take a look at her post below:

According to her post, she was on her way home when she heard a plastic bag rustle behind her and she quickly turned to see that a man had pulled a phone back from under her skirt in very close proximity to her. She allegedly saw that he had taken a video of her.

She demanded to see his phone but he walked away very fast. She chased after him and grabbed his phone, but he grabbed her wrist and they had a scuffle for reportedly a minute, where he would have been able to delete the content she wanted to see on his phone.

After the scuffle where he allegedly slipped and his clothing was torn, he gave her the phone, where she saw that there was no history on it. No photos or videos or anything on the phone. He gave her his information by showing her his ID, and she went to the police to file a report.

From there, she notified her friends of the incident and the same name cropped up as a few news reports of a man with allegedly the same modus.

While she does not want to say if the man in the news reports is the same as the man who looks like he took an upskirt video of her, she is letting the police do its work and waiting for a favorable outcome.
