New ways on how to get in Sentosa for free starting October 1, 2018

To deepen Sentosa’s engagement with the local community, Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) will be waiving or lowering island admission fees for more Singapore residents with effect from 1 October 2018.

Organised community and school groups entering Sentosa via chartered coaches on weekdays (excluding public holidays) will enjoy free island admission. Groups eligible for this waiver are community groups under the People’s Association and Community Development Councils, as well as organised groups from all pre-schools, government schools, and government-aided schools. To enjoy the waiver, organisers are required to pre-register their group visits by writing in to education@sentosa.com.sg.

As part of SDC’s commitment to cultivating a car-lite Singapore, cyclists and PMD users will also enjoy free entry into Sentosa, giving guests another reason to explore hidden gems along the island’s network of on-road and off-road cycling trails. Cyclists and PMD users are reminded to comply with the Active Mobility Act, which applies to public paths in Sentosa.

In addition, entry fees via the Sentosa Express will either be halved or waived for selected TransitLink concession card holders.

The changes to island admission charges will be implemented for an initial period of two years.

Other ways to enter Sentosa for free

The fee revisions mean there will be a myriad of ways for guests to enter Sentosa for free. Apart from the changes announced today, guests strolling in via the Sentosa Boardwalk or entering on board SBS Transit’s bus 123 already enjoy the island admission fee waiver, with the latter only paying the prevailing distance-based bus fare.

Free entry for community and school groups entering via charted coaches on weekdays (excluding public holidays)

Free entry for cyclists, and users of Personal Mobility Devices (PMD)

Sentosa Express train fares halved for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and other selected TransitLink concession card holders (please refer to Annex A for the full list); free entry for Child concession card holders.
