Far East Hospitality Launches Made-in-Singapore New Rooms

In line with National Day celebrations, Far East Hospitality, one of Singapore’s leading operators of hotels and serviced residences, today unveiled four exclusive Made-In-Singapore rooms at each of its Village Hotels. These rooms serve to connect travellers withSingapore’s varied culture, history and heritage, and provide an interpretation of Singapore-inspired hospitality.

Constructing the Made-In-Singapore experience

At the start of 2018, the first-of-its-kind project saw students from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) submitting designs that showcased their interpretation of “Singapore-inspired hospitality”. Students drew inspiration from a variety of sources such as cultural landmarks in the property’s vicinity, location’s history, and heritage. In March 2018, Far East Hospitality took inspiration from the four winning concepts then worked with the hotel’s in-house design team to construct these rooms.

Guests can book a stay under the “Made-In-Singapore Room package” from any of the Village Hotels from 27 August 2018 onwards. The package is priced from SGD250 nett per room per night. Upon check-in, they will be welcomed with a local drink – milo dinosaur, and an exclusive photo which captures the memories of their stay. Besides staying in these exclusive rooms, guests are also entitled to:

  • Breakfast for two
  • SGD10 F&B vouchers
  • A Village Passport which includes places that guests can visit to “Explore like a Local”
  • An Activity Book which incorporates: 10 ways to Live like a Local, a take-home recipe card featuring local food such as chicken rice and mee siam, mini games for guests to play while they learn interesting facts about local attractions and culture, and a Singapore-inspired souvenir.

This Made-In-Singapore Room campaign is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) through the Experience Step-Up Fund.
