Catch the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour and its nightly after-parties!

A total of 126 teams from 32 countries have signed up to participate in this year’s FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Singapore. To be held at The Siloso Beach in Sentosa from 21– 24 June 2018, this sets a new record of sign-ups for a 2-star tournament, surpassing other distinguished FIVB tournaments.

Fans and enthusiasts can catch the action of elite teams such as young and upcoming McNamara twins, Megan & Nicole, Canadian sisters who recently came in 4th at the FIVB event in Bangkok, Dhita Juliana & Putu Utami and Jess Grimson & Victoria Palmer who is ranked at number 1 in Indonesia and England respectively, Josi Alves & Lili Maestrini, Brazilian women’s team who is ranked top 3 seeds in Main Draw at three FIVB Tournaments in China – Jinjiang, Nantong & Nanjing before making a stop in Singapore and 3 Italian teams who are from National Teams of Italy 2018; Arianna Barboni & Silvia Costantini, Alice Gradini & Claudia Puccinelli and Agata Zuccarnelli & Gaia Traballi.

In addition to catching these international athletes “live” as they secure a spot at The FIVB World Championship Games at Hamburg, Germany, local fans of beach volleyball can also catch Singapore players Lau Ee Shan and Ong Weiyu who recently played at Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in April this year. The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Singapore is set to be to be the biggest beach volleyball event on the sports calendar this year.

With over 800 seats available per day, tickets are selling fast at Sistic where ticket holders may enjoy an all-day access to all the matches at $20. The match schedule for The FIVB Volleyball World Tour will commence from 9am daily.

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Singapore will kickstart with the Qualification Round on 21 June followed by the double gender Pool Play on 22 June, 2nd Round of Pool Play & Quarter-Finals on 23 June and the finale closing on 24 June with its Semi-Finals & Finals. Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu will be presenting the medals to the winners at the Prize Presentation Ceremony on the 24 June 2018.

The FIVB stop in Singapore is organised by the Volleyball Association of Singapore (VAS), presenting sponsor Neo Group Limited, main sponsor DBS Bank, with support from Singapore Tourism Board, Sport Singapore Team Nila, Tote Board, M1 and NETS.

Festival-goers will be thrilled by the nightly after-parties starting with the Opening Ceremony on 21 June by UnUsUal Productions who is recognised for its wide repertoire of international concerts here. Entertainment partners, SOZO, the organiser of popular Japanese-themed festivals such as Anime Festival Asia, will present a 2- day music festival – Japan Music Festival and VENUS RISING on 22 and 23 June respectively while Red Spade Entertainment will close the FIVB Volleyball World Tour on a high note with its signature The Sundown Live Party on 24 June*.

22nd June 2018 – Japan Music Festival 2018 + ANiBEATS: Anime Dance Party (7pm to 11pm)

For the first time ever, festival-goers can enjoy 3 hours of music rock music by artiste from Japan on the beach at the Japanese Summer Music Festival, right here in Singapore featuring BAND-MAID, Do As Infinity and Shiena Nishizawa.

23rd June 2018 – Venus Rising Dance Music Festival (7pm to 11pm)

Based around the concept of “The Future is Female”, Venus Rising consists of a line- up of female artistes to own the stage with dance music. Headliner acts include Christina Novelli, known for being the Voice behind EDM’s chart leading tracks, and Shortee, who is recognised as one of the most diverse & technically skilled DJs in the world.

24th June 2018 – Sundown Music Festival Live Party (6pm to 11pm)

Sundown LIVE Party continues to celebrate Asian music and culture by showcasing the dynamic and vibrant nightlife scene at The Siloso Beach in Sentosa featuring a line-up of local artistes such as Shigga Shay & Grizzle Grind Crew, Lion City Boy, Axel Brizzy, Hybreed Society and more.

NETS will be accepted at all Retail and F&B booths ranging. Festival-goers and beach volleyball fans will be able to pay via FlashPay, NETS, Visa PayWave and MasterCard PayPass.
