Are people saying racist comments about this Singapore Police Force cardboard man?

After the success of the most handsome police officer cardboard man, it seems the Singapore Police Force have continued the trend and installed more of these standees.

Here’s one example, however, that has us thinking twice.

While not distinctly racist off the bat, this caption may have captured the slant that some Singaporeans might take away from the standee.

It’s good that the Singapore Police Force have begun to photograph all ethnicities for their cardboard standees. It does show the multicultural features of Singapore as well as the police force.

Some people, though, can’t resist making fun of the standee.

Take a look at some of the comments:

Some of them speculated on the fate of the first man used for the cardboard stand.

 

Others echoed the sentiments of the caption in the original post.

Some found it funny.

While others found it quite racist.

Some people knew you would allegedly get mad for this.

While others predictably got into arguments.

Here’s another argument.

Oh dear.
