Grab Angbao are just waiting for you and your family in the app

Here’s your chance to receive a Grab Angbao this Chinese New Year!

Whether you’re a newly-wedded couple or have been giving Angbaos out for years – how about giving and receiving this Chinese New Year?

This Chinese New Year, Grab is allowing its users to send and receive digital red packets through the Grab app. From 15th – 20th February, Grab users will receive a surprise GrabPay Angbao as they give out digital red packets through the app, letting them save up to $8.88 in GrabPay credits with each transaction!

How it works

Here’s how you can send a GrabPay Angbao:

  1. Open your Grab app, select GrabPay at the top right corner
  2. Click on the red banner to send a GrabPay Angbao
  3. ‘Top Up’ your GrabPay Credits if you don’t have sufficient value in your GrabPay wallet
  4. Choose whom you want to send the GrabPay Angbao to by entering the Grab-registered phone number of your friend or family member
  5. Key in an amount between $0.01 to $500.00, and leave a message for your recipient
  6. A bonus Angbao will be sent back to you for sharing your fortune!

Your loved ones will receive a notification on their Grab app, which will prompt them to receive the GrabPay Angbao from you!

How to save

Receive GrabPay rebates through your surprise GrabPay Angbaos when you send them out to different recipients from 15th – 20thFeb. Each Grab user can receive up to 8 surprise GrabPay Angbaos each day, on condition that it is sent to different recipients throughout the campaign period (i.e. 8 different friends a day, 48 different friends throughout the full campaign).

How about cute Year of the Dog items?

Have a joyful and prosperous Chinese New Year!
