The team from the world-class musical, Evita, is coming to The Mastercard Theatre at Marina Bay Sands this February to search for 12 local children from Singapore to perform in the show.
Winner of more than 20 major awards, Evita is an original West End and Broadway production from Time Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber and directed by legendary Broadway director Hal Prince.
It stars Emma Kingston, who was personally chosen by Tim Rice, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Hal Prince to play Eva Perón, and South African musical star Jonathan Roxmouth.
In the chance of a lifetime to join these stars, the Resident Director of Evita, who also plays Augustin Magaldi in the musical, Anton Luitingh, will be hand-picking six outstanding and confident girls and boys on 14 February to sing and act in this international production.
Interested children between the ages of eight and 11, of all height and nationalities are invited to register at this page, where full details of the auditions can be found. Registration is now open and will close on 31 January.
Auditioning children must be good singers, able to hold a pitch and harmonise while the boys are required to have an unbroken voice.
Auditions will be held at The Mastercard Theatre on the afternoon of 14 February. Children who are shortlisted will be asked to return for a final round of selection at 8:30PM that day.
