Singaporeans can now travel to the U.S.A on a budget, all thanks to Scoot!
For the first time, Scoot will be operating a long-haul flight to America, from Singapore to Honolulu. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner can accommodate up to a total of 329 passengers from Singapore in every flight.
The first flight is expected to arrive at Daniel K. Inouye International (HNL) Airport at about 7:30 AM (Hawaii Time) or 1:30 AM (Singapore time) the following day. Scoot will be scheduling the flight four times a week from Singapore to Honolulu via Osaka. This is also the first Singapore to Osaka stop on top of the existing three-times-a-week stop via Bangkok and Kaoshiung.
The Singapore-Osaka-Honolulu (TR 700) route will depart at 10:45 AM every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday and will arrive in Honolulu the following day at 7:30 AM (Hawaii Time). On Fridays, it is scheduled to depart at 9:55 AM and will arrive the following day at 7:00 AM (Hawaii time).
The return flight Honolulu-Osaka-Singapore (TR 701) route will be scheduled at 9:35 AM every Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. It will be on the same day as it arrives in Honolulu.
“We are really excited about entering the U.S. market with a destination as special as Hawaii,” said Mr Lee Lik Hsin, CEO of Scoot. “We look forward to connecting our two communities which are both known for their rich multi-cultural heritage.”
Scoot is confident that travellers from Singapore and the region are eager to visit Hawaii as a world-famous vacation destination.
At the prospect of excited passengers, Scoot has prepared some in-flight activities to keep the passengers’ energy up. Exhilarating games and awesome prizes await. When the passengers arrive in Honolulu, they will be greeted in true Hawaiian spirit – replete with Hawaiian music, fresh flower leis, hula and some light refreshments.
To celebrate Scoot’s first flight to Hawaii, they will be making a donation of USD$20,000 to Nā Kama Kai, a local non-profit organization in Hawaii. Nā Kama Kai actively educates the children of Hawaii about the importance of taking care of their island’s natural beauty.
