World’s most potent antioxidant, Activated Phenolics, has arrived in Singapore

Said to be the ‘superhero of antioxidants’, Activated Phenolics is described to be 12 times stronger than any other antioxidant. It was introduced to the Australian market in 2016 and has now arrived in Singapore a year later.

Activated Phenolics was discovered by Dr Vincent Candrawinata at the Australian University of Newcastle during a joint Government and university research project in 2014. Dr Vincent is also the founder of healthcare company, Renovatio, the company introducing his discovery into the Singapore market.

Activated Phenolics are said to be naturally extracted from apples and touted as a ‘one-stop superfood and the source of antioxidants you need on a daily basis to promote health and prevention from illness’.

In 2016, Dr Vincent established Renovatio to further his research and develop a range of activated phenolic products including tablets, powder and skincare.

The APSKIN is a face cream which regenerates and restores skin at the cellular level, providing glow and radiance. It nourishes the skin from within, protecting elastin and collagen structures to maintain youthful skin. My mother and I tested it out as it is said to be suitable for all skin types.

I usually do not use face creams as they create oily bumps and pimples on my sensitive skin. My skin also disagrees with fragrances so I was wary of trying APSKIN as it has a strong apple scent. I decided to try it anyway as it is an all-natural product.

I had a dry patch on my face due to a skin allergy which was flaky for over a month. I applied various creams including popular brands like Kiehl’s and Clinique, but no cream was effective enough. APSKIN claims to show visible effects after 3-5 days, and true enough, it did heal the dry area. Dry and sensitive skin, check.

Funnily enough, Dr Vincent who has combination skin also said that Clinique’s moisturiser was good for his sensitive skin as it is light, but it was not hydrating enough for the dry areas of his face.

My mother who also has sensitive skin tried the cream and said it lifts and softens her skin. Due to its richness, she used it every other day but still saw visible differences in her skin’s firmness. Mature skin, check.

The products are available at various stores including Supernature, That Health Shop, Glory Bee and Nutrimax Organic. You can find out more on Renovatio’s website.
