200 needy families get opportunity to bond at Singapore’s Largest Family Festival

Singapore’s largest family event just got even more heartwarming and meaningful.

Madam Samsiah Bte Halil, 54, will be enjoying a rare day-out with her children at the “I’m Proud of You” Day – a Champion Family Festival come October 7. She is among one of the 200 families who are beneficiaries of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF). They will be receiving tickets to the family festival event.

The STSPMF which gives an allowance to children from low-income families, has helped a total of 150,693 beneficiaries over the past 16 years.

MindChamps PreSchool and The Straits Times have jointly organized the inaugural “I’m Proud of You” Day – a two-day family festival that is happening from 7 – 8 October.

This is Singapore’s largest indoor family festival which offers families a unique experience to spend quality time with their children and celebrate their little victories.

The children’s festival will be held from 7 to 8 October 2017 at Singapore Expo Hall 1 & Max Atria Gallery from 10am to 9pm. The large-scale indoor carnival offers more than 35 specifically designed activities for kids that promote learning and parent-child bonding, some of which includes:

  • Meet-and-greet sessions with mascots from the popular Korean animated TV series, Pororo
  • Live pony rides
  • Indoor family soccer matches
  • Inline skating
  • Slalom scooting
