United Airlines’ Singapore (SIN) to Los Angeles (LAX) flight launches on October 29, 2017.
Considered the longest non-stop flight to the United States, the trip is reportedly two hours shorter than the usual route of at least one layover. This could bring about a lot of convenience and saved time for travelers.
This new flight will trump United’s SIN to San Francisco (SFO) flight as the longest non-stop trip. The new flight covers roughly 8,700 miles while the latter flight is around 8,400 miles.
Named Flight U38, the SIN to LAX departs at 11:00am Singapore time and arrives at LAX at 10:15 on the same day.
The return flight, UA 37, will depart Los Angeles at 8:55 p.m. daily, arriving in Singapore at 6:50 a.m. two days later. Flying time will be approximately 15 hours, 15 minutes eastbound, and 17 hours, 55 minutes westbound.
Take note that all times mentioned in this post are local.
According to United’s press release, the flight features a total of 252 seats – 48 United Polaris business class, 204 United Economy, including 88 Economy Plus.
United Economy offers complimentary food, soft drinks, juices, beer and wine, tea, coffee and inflight entertainment. Seats feature an adjustable headrest and seat-back monitor delivering a personal on-demand entertainment system. United Economy Plus offers up to five inches of extra legroom.
