Can you wolf down this massive 1kg triple layer ultimate burger at 25 Degrees Singapore?

Created specially to celebrate International Burger Day on 28 May, The Ultimate Burger at 25 Degrees Singapore stands at a jaw-dropping 15cm in height and weighs a whopping 1kg. When I learned about the existence of this burger, I decided I have to try it and see if an ordinary person can wolf it down in one meal.

Stacked between fluffy handmade brioche buns are a tender turkey patty, juicy US Angus beef, and buttermilk deep fried chicken breast, followed by layers of cheddar cheese, sweet caramelised onions, crunchy butterhead lettuce, and avocados for extra creaminess. Finished with a signature secret sauce, The Ultimate Burger is presented with onions, tomatoes, and pickles on the side – as with all classic 25 Degrees burgers.

Taking it apart

Priced at S$28, this massive burger is available at 25 Degrees Singapore for a limited time only from now till end of June.

If you are too chicken to order the Ultimate Burger, the menu at 25 Degrees offer a wide range of other American comfort food at very reasonable prices:

A regular classic burger at 25 Degrees is priced at S$14, with five versions to choose from or you can also craft your own, starting from just S$9.50
Curly fries and onion rings (S$5 each)
Milkshake

I am a modest eater, but I managed to wolf down all the meat patties and ingredients in between, sans about half the buns as leftovers. I am pretty sure I can finish the remaining buns if I want to, but I was saving some space to try out the equally delicious salad offerings at 25 Degrees. I ordered a half portion (S$8) of their Roasted Beets salad, served with beetroots, baby arugula, feta and citrus vinaigrette. The full portion is priced at S$13.

Verdict?

Business is booming at 25 Degrees and it is not hard to see why. The menu is kept simple with just one page, yet allowing for diners to customise orders. The items offered are unpretentious, sinful comfort food which no one can resist. Indulging in a meal like this once in a while feels really good, even for a healthy eater like me.

If you are looking to have a go at the Ultimate Burger, you still have one week to do so before it’s taken off the menu. Go for it!
