70 years ago, a pioneering pharmacist in Texas invented the first Cetaphil product — the Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion. By conventional standards, few consumer products would have stood the test of seven decades. Not this product though. Even after 70 seasons, Cetaphil’s first product — known today as Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser — still uses the same formula, and is loved by even more people than it did before.
This 2017, 7 appears to be the lucky number for Cetaphil, as it celebrates its 70th anniversary in more than 70 countries worldwide.
Cetaphil is recognised by consumers all over the globe for its dermatologically formulated skincare range clinically proven to strengthen and protect even the most sensitive skin. Its wide range of everyday products, ranging from cleansers, moisturisers, sun protection to baby products, are very popular with Singaporeans. In fact, Cetaphil is the undisputed number 1 dermatological skincare brand in Singapore in 2016, a timely and gracious 70th birthday present.
In conjunction with its 70th-anniversary celebration, Cetaphil is delighted to announce the appointment of popular radio DJ Lin Peifen as its first brand ambassador for Singapore and Malaysia. It also happens to be Peifen’s first face and body skincare brand endorsement for the two countries.
At the event, Peifen shared about how Cetaphil helps her maintain healthy skin despite having only a few hours of sleep every night because of her new role as a mother. As Ms Elizabeth Lee, General Manager of Galderma Singapore and Malaysia said at the event, Peifen is truly an exemplary modern woman we all admire with the gentleness of a loving wife and a doting mother, all whilst having the inner strength to juggle her responsibilities at work.
As the face of Cetaphil for Singapore and Malaysia, the Mediacorp YES 933 DJ will grace both the brand’s offline and online campaigns and advertisements.
Of her latest endorsement, Peifen reiterated the importance of using the right products on your skin in order to look and feel your best.
“With its gentle and clinically proven formulas, Cetaphil reinforces and protects the structure of the
skin – even in people with the most sensitive and delicate skin,” explained Dr Eszter Baltas, a dermatologist who contributed to developing Cetaphil products and now Associate Professor at the
Department of Dermatology and Allergology in Szeged, Hungary.
Cetaphil products are available at all leading supermarkets, retail and hospital pharmacies.
As someone who has had to deal with sensitive skin for a long time, I found myself nodding in agreement when Dr Baltas sums it up this way: “When you choose Cetaphil, you’re choosing the best for your skin.”
