Celebrate Deepavali at Punjab Grill with a special menu and Mithai box

Deepavali is near and if you are looking for an upmarket indian restaurant to host a meal, consider making a reservation at Punjab Grill at Marina Bay Sands.

Punjab Grill is an established name for top North Indian/Punjabi cuisines. Other than the restaurant in Singapore, they have restaurants in Delhi, Mumbai and other major cities around the globe. In Singapore, Punjab Grill is as good as it gets for top notch Indian fine dining. Check out my previous review.

This year, to celebrate the vibrant, traditional Indian festival of lights, Punjab Grill introduced a specially crafted, colourful Mithai boxes of sweets, priced at S$68 for the 18-piece “Jannat“ and  S$90 for the 28-piece “Royal Mithai box”.

The hand-crafted sweets include:

1. Alphanso mango and  white choco
2. Darjeeling green tea & pista barfi
3. Sugar free dates and figs sweets
4. Blueberries delight dulce
5. Macadamia nuts and saffron swirl roll stuffed with rose petals marmalade
6 Roasted flaxseeds & Moti choor paak delight

Traditionally, Deepavali is associated with the home-coming of the popular Hindu God, Shri Ram, after 14 years of exile and now symbolises a day of joyous celebration for Indians from all walks of life.

Punjab Grill’s Mithai Boxes are designed in this spirit, with the range of delectable sweets given a contemporary twist while still retaining the well-loved traditional flavours.

The Mithai Boxes are available from 8th October to 1st November 2016 at Punjab Grill. To request an order form and to place order, call  +65 6688 7395.

The restaurant also launched two special Deepavali Tasting Menu – Veg and Non-Veg, both priced at S$99++ per pax.

I am a fan of Indian cuisines, won over by the rich, aromatic flavours. Punjab Grill does an excellent job in bringing out the best of Indian cooking.

I found the appetiser ticking all the boxes for me for sight, smell and taste. The contemporary dish is really beautiful to look at and a delight to savour each bits, leading into a delectable offering of mains.

The briyani was well-cooked, with rich flavours coming out of each grain of rice. It goes well with the other mains, particularly the creamy chicken and medley of garden vegetables which were my two favourite dishes.

I think a common misperception Singaporeans have about Indian food is that the dishes are all ‘spicy’. Yes, lots of spices are used, but they are not hot in the way that it burns your tongue. Rather, the flavours tease your tastebuds and pack surprises with every mouth.

That’s how I feel after the lunch tasting at Punjab Grill.

Like the Mithai box, the Deepavali menu at Punjab Grill is only available for a limited time only. Do make your reservation now if you want to try it. 🙂
