This eye care platform provides FREE optometrist service at your preferred location

For those wearing glasses or contact lenses in Singapore, you have to know about SeeChic, Singapore’s first online and mobile eye care platform.

SeeChic is not just an online store for eyewear, it also delivers contact lenses, sunglasses and provide free mobile eye care checkups from a professional eye doctor to you where and when you need it.

I made a free corporate booking for my colleagues for a half hour session at our office:

Everything’s free and SeeChic will provide you with your optical prescriptions as well as discounts to get eyewear or contact lenses from them online.

Why is SeeChic providing free eye care consultation?

SeeChic is aiming to revolutionise the eye care industry here by delivering service to where and when they are needed.

In the United States, fifty percent of all contact lenses are purchased online compared with less than five percent in Singapore. With the city having one of the highest rates of myopia in the world, Thomas Brochier, the founder of SeeChic, saw a gap in the eye-care market to bring convenience, service and savings to consumers.

Is SeeChic safe?

If you are worried that SeeChic is a shady operation or a scam, fret not. They have very credible backings, including respected names in the eye care industry.

SeeChic raised over USD$ 1 million in seed funding with prestigious investors such as Bluebell Group, the Hong-Kong based luxury distributor. The company’s board of advisors includes industry experts such Kevin Cornils of My Optique Group and Cyril Charzat of Heineken, and e-commerce gurus such as Alexis Horowitz-Burdick of Luxola and Thibault Villet of mei.com.

“There is no need to take an eye appointment at the opticians, or visit an expensive retail shop to purchase your contact lenses or sunglasses,” shared Brochier.

“We verify your prescription or send registered optometrists to you, and work closely with eye care brands and industry leaders to ensure authenticity and deep knowledge of our products and services.”

Singaporean healthcare regulations recommend a yearly check-up before purchasing contact lenses.

By offering complimentary home visits from a professional optometrist, customers are given a personal service that is efficient and practical, especially for those who are time poor or have limited mobility.

Performed by a SeeChic registered optometrist with portable equipment, customers can have the test and a prescription ready within 2o minutes.

How do I buy eyewear or contact lenses from SeeChic?

After getting your prescriptions, customers can visit SeeChic to access a wide selection of high quality contact lenses from market leaders such as Alcon, Bausch & Lomb and Johnson & Johnson, including specially designed lenses for astigmatism (toric), multifocal and bifocal, color enhancing as well as daily, weekly and monthly disposables. Brands include Acuvue, FreshLook and SofLens, among others.

Those who already hold a valid, up-to-date prescription can also upload it onto the website or input your own optometrists’ details at checkout, and SeeChic will verify the prescription on your behalf.

With competitive prices up to 30% off, resulting in savings of up to S$200 a year, contact lenses can be delivered within 5-6 hours using express courier or for free within a few days, with the option to collect from 26 SingPost POPStations around the island.

If you are interested to book a free appointment with a SeeChic optometrist or find out more on SeeChic’s products and services, visit their official website.
