Earlier on Monday, McDonald’s Singapore introduced the McDonald’s Food Icons X nanoblocks collectibles, featuring designs unique to McDonald’s. I got a McDonald’s Food Icons X nanoblocks Limited Edition Collector’s Kit delivered to me and the full set looks like this:
Each set includes six nanoblock designs, including McDonald’s French Fries, Cold Cup, Apple Pie, McFlurry, Big Mac and a Restaurant Model. The latter is exclusive to the Collector’s Kit and will not be sold individually in restaurants.
If you like a full set like this, you have to move fast.
To give customers and nanblock collectors a one-stop option to complete your collection, the McDonald’s Food Icons X nanoblocks Limited Edition Collector’s Kits was launched in McDonald’s restaurants in Singapore on 22 February from 11am. There are limited quantities in each restaurant and the Collector’s Kits will only be sold till 28 February 2016.
The Collectors’s Kit is available over the counter at McDonald’s restaurants at S$29 each with every purchase of an Extra Value Meal. To ensure that as many people as possible have access to the available Collectors’ Kits, purchase is limited to two per customer, per store visit.
For the casual collectors who just want individual nanoblock models, these will be available for purchase from 29 February onwards. One design will be launched every Monday at 11am and sold on a while stocks last basis:
Note that the McCafe Cup is not available in the McDonald’s Food Icons X nanoblocks Limited Edition Collector’s Kit. Hence to get a complete set of ALL the nanoblock models, you may want to go visit a McCafe outlet.
The individual models will be available at S$4 each with every purchase of an Extra Value Meal over the counter in restaurants while the McCafe model can be purchased at S$4 with every purchase of a McCafe set. Purchase is limited to 4 per customer, per store visit.
One last point to note – to help ensure that the models are safe for children, the McDonald’s X nanoblock food icons come assembled and cannot be taken apart.
Happy collecting!
