Conrad Centennial Singapore Raised over S$10,000 for Association for Persons with Special Needs through “Adopt a Conrad Bear” campaign

Ahead of the Chinese New Year festive period, Conrad Centennial Singapore recently raised a total of S$10,613.70 for Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN) through a “Adopt a Conrad Bear” campaign.

The campaign which took place last December saw over 230 pieces of Conrad signature plush bears from the 15-feet Christmas tree adopted by hotel guests, the public and its staff. With the success of this campaign, Conrad Centennial Singapore today announced the launch of the new mascot bear design.

Featuring an oriental and a batik design, the new Conrad Singapore bears reflect the culture and heritage of Singapore. From March 2016 all guests staying at the Conrad Centennial Singapore will receive a red oriental Conrad Singapore bear; while the batik bear will be available from May 2016.

“We would like to thank our guests, the public and our staff for their generous support towards this campaign for a good cause.” Said Mark Meaney, general manager of Conrad Centennial Singapore.

“Today, it is with great pleasure and delight that I present this cheque to APSN as we continue to work closely to provide training and jobs in support for persons with mild intellectual disability.”

“It is our privilege to partner Conrad Centennial Singapore in their “Adopt a Conrad Bear” campaign. The generous proceeds will enable us to continue funding our training and welfare programmes of our students and clients with special needs.” said Chan Chee Keong, President of APSN.

“Working closely together, we continue to empower our beneficiaries to lead independent and dignified lives in society. We are thankful to Conrad Centennial Singapore for this meaningful opportunity to make Singapore and our society a better place.”
