My family had been going on a few staycations lately to unwind and we recently discovered one of the best staycation deals in Singapore at Hotel Jen Orchardgateway, smack in the heart of the Orchard shopping belt.
This special Weekends with 26 Hours A Day room package allow guests to check out 26 hours after whatever time you check in so you can maximise your weekend with just a single night booking.
From just S$200 per room, per night, guests may stay in one of the 499 rooms in the property. We stayed at the Panorama Room which offered a really breathtaking panoramic view of Orchard Road:
It was raining in them morning during our stay there, but I still caught glimpses of sunrise from our room. It felt really tranquil to be woken up by the first few rays of the morning sun, beaming into the room, with a full view of the city from our bed.
The room was well decorated in soft earth-tone colours for a cosy ambience, with an abundance of sunlight through the liberal use of full-length windows.
Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore is well-designed with a combination of complementing amenities to meet all guests needs and preferences in an indulging and pampering manner. Guests also have the flexibility to choose between one big plush king bed or two super single beds. For my family, we were provided with a king bed plus an additional single bed for Asher.
Other things to expect from the stay include a 24 hour fitness centre, fast free WiFi everywhere in the hotel, always and free local calls, trolleys for your luggages and bicycles to cycle around Orchard Road.
Located in the heart of Orchard Road, you can take a lift down for direct access to Somerset MRT station or just shop at the interconnected shopping malls like 313@Somerset, Orchard Central and Orchardgateway.
A stay at the hotel would not be complete without experiencing the sensational 47-metre infinity rooftop. Be sure to take a dip in the heated infinity pool with jacuzzi features:
As the Panorama Room is on the Club Room floor, we have access to the Club Lounge which features a free flow of light snacks and bar through the day. We had breakfast on at the lounge on the last day morning before we checked out:
For dining, there are lots of options available at the interconnected shopping malls. We opted for a buffet dinner at Makan@Jen, the in-house hotel restaurant in Hotel Jen Orchardgateway which offers both a la carte and buffet-style options all-day:
We were quite happy with the wide international selection. Asher and I enjoyed the sashimi and seafood very much, with Asher feasting on slice after slice of sashimi while I went for the crabs and lobsters:
The experience looks amazing right?
This was definitely one of the best staycations we enjoyed this year. With 26 hours from the time we checked in, we didn’t had to rush ourselves checking in and checking out at the stipulated time dictated by the hotel management. Currently, Hotel Jen Orchardgateway is the only hotel with such an arrangement and it is perfect for staycations.
