Since August, people in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, and some parts of Indonesia have been choking on the haze brought on by agricultural fires in Sumatra and Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The annual situation worsened this year when it coincided with the climate cycle El Nino, prolonging the fumes and making it more difficult to put out. Because setting fire to clear vast plots of lands is cheap and easy, owners of the plantations do it every year. The Indonesia government have been trying to crack down on this problem for years.
Check out what some of the users and celebrities on social media platform migme are saying about the haze.
