[PROMO CODE INSIDE] Yum Cha now Delivers with Yum Cha Express

Now, there’s one more catering option beyond the usual food fares – quality dim sum from Yum Cha! Yum Cha restaurants now deliver with Yum Cha Express.

Yum Cha restaurants opened its first outlet at the heart of Chinatown, specialising in serving quality dim sum. They have three restaurants in Singapore – Yum Cha Chinatown, Yum Cha Garden and Yum Cha Changi.

The idea came about when Yum Cha realised a large number of their customers were packing dim sum for home parties. No one else was specialised in delivering dim sum. Hence, Yum Cha moved in to deliver an assortment of their best dim sums along with a variety of rice, vermicelli, seafood and vegetable dishes right to your doorsteps from 9am to 9pm.

Box sets

I attended a media session over the weekend with Rachel and Asher. We sampled these items:

Assorted steamed dim sums
Dumplings
Glutinous rice in lotus leaf
Crispy red bean paste with banana, filo scallop rolls and sesame bbq pork pastries
Spring rolls, egg tarts and carrot cakes
beancurd skin roll with prawns – one of favourite dim sum items
Special salted egg prawns
Scallops with mushrooms and broccoli
Vegetable tofu
Noodle and fried rice
Assorted desserts

A live demonstration was done to place an order and watch the delivery comes in. The set up was completed quick and efficient. Before we even realised it, everyone was enjoying hot, fresh dim sums and mingling around.

Asher’s favourite was their Crispy Red Bean Paste With Banana which he ate two pieces on his own. I quite like that too, but found it hard to pick a favourite as they were all quite good. This is about as good as it gets for catering food!

I like the idea of catered dim sums. They are in bite sizes which makes them perfect for parties. One or two mouth and a piece is gone. No more getting your hands dirty and looking all unglam tearing apart a chicken wing.

Apart from the dim sums offering, the other items were pretty good too. Rachel particularly enjoyed the scallops and broccoli.

The food comes packed in microwaveable disposable paper boxes and transported in a specially customised bag with an internal heating element to keep the food hot and fresh upon delivery:
