Kick-started the festivities and representing Singapore in Dublin, Ireland, was one 91.3FM’s DJ Shan Wee and his two best buddies Howard Lo and Xavier Teo.
What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green on March 17.
If you love a parade, then you’ve got to love St. Patrick’s Day. And you don’t have to be Irish to join in the fun at the happening streets. My first experience expecting pipe & drum bands, step dancers, family cheers and crowds lined up along the streets of Circular Road & Boat Quay! Caught Jack & Rai paid a fitting tribute to Irish music at Timbre @ The Substation.
“The extension of this year’s St. Patrick’s celebrations reinforced Guinness’ passion for friendship and togetherness at one of the most iconic festivals in the world. This St. Patrick’s Festival, Guinness invited its fans and their friends to seven days of great food, memorable music, and of course great Guinness to bring people together!” said Mr. Rene de Monchy, Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore.
xx Cheers to the ‘Friendliest Day of the Year’ xx
