[Sponsored Video] Tiger Beer presents Tiger #Uncage – Unleash your Pride!

I have wrote two previous posts on Tiger Beer‘s bold new #Uncage campaign – #Uncage Launch and #Uncage Street Football.

The core message is to encourage people to forge our own paths and break free from conformity. “Uncage” is all about have the courage to look at things afresh, to follow our own instincts and live on our terms. This is how we should all live our lives, every day, every decision we make.

Singapore’s National Day is just round the corner. To celebrate, Tiger Beer has collaborated with Singapore’s own Tree Potatoes, a popular YouTube comedy channel run by a core team, consisting of Aaron Khoo, Elliot Tan and Janice Chiang.

Since their launch half a year ago, Tree Potatoes has grew to become one of the Top three YouTube channels in Singapore. To them being Uncaged means “stepping out of your comfort zone to pursue what you love”.

So what do Tree Potatoes think are the iconic traits of Singapore and Singaporeans?

Watch this video to find out:

Funny isn’t it?

Yes, this is Singapore and yes, these are our quirky habits. On the nation’s birthday, let’s sit back, relax and laugh at ourselves a little. These are the little things which bind us together and make us Singaporeans.

I particularly like how the video highlighted our traits like the fact that we are always in a hurry, call people by their rank even outside camp, can recognise the horn of the newspaper uncle, complain about the Singapore weather and yet defend it before foreigners, and many more.

It is heartening to see Tiger Beer supporting local talents like Tree Potatoes to unleash local pride. It’s really the most apt way to celebrate National Day, rather than some glitzy, expensive, hollow and faceless events or music videos featuring celebrities.

What are your thoughts after watching the video? Share them with #uncage on Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels to unleash your pride about Singapore. Do share this blog post or the video too with #uncage. 🙂
