Tupperware Brands’ VentSmart – Keep your Greens, Fresher Longer

Tupperware Brands Singapore recently introduced VentSmart, a space and money saving modular fridge storage solution. The unique venting system of VentSmart allows for the regulation of the atmosphere inside the container by balancing the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide passing in and out to control air circulation in the container, which can be adjusted through a slider according to the type of vegetables or fruits stored. The signature features of the VentSmart range include signature lids with air circulating venting holes and a slider which you can set to open, closed, or half open, depending on the contents of your container – to complement the breathing patterns and increase the shelf life of your produce:

Fruits and vegetables fall into three categories based on the level of oxygen they demand. Low respiratory produce such as celery, carrots, cucumbers and grapes are stored with both vents sealed; medium respiratory produce such as beans, cauliflower, lettuce, and apples are stored with one vent open; and high respiratory produce such as broccoli, corn, brussels sprouts, and artichokes are stored with both vents open.
