The cast for Lady First – Singapore Season 2

Lady First – Singapore (女人我最大- 新加坡) will be back on StarHub TV following the success of the first season last year. The Singapore version of the hit Taiwanese beauty and lifestyle magazine show, Lady First  (女人我最大), will premiere on 3 June 2014, with a new skincare expert from Taiwan and an episode specially for men with a a new Men’s Team. The Ladies Team, comprising of 13 ladies altogether, includes 6 new faces. Non-mandarin audience speaking audience will also get to enjoy the show as  Season 2 now comes with subtitles.

Lady First – Singapore is a collaboration among StarHub, Hong Kong TVBI and its Taiwanese arm TVBS. It will see the return of straight-talking host, Pauline Lan as the anchor. Skincare expert Liu Yan will join the original line-up of Taiwanese resident glamour gurus, Kevin Chou, Wu Yi Lin and Xiao Kai. Also one of Lady First’s resident gurus in Taiwan, Liu Yan has made frequent media appearances, giving expert skincare advice on various magazine shows over the past decade.

The girls in the Ladies’ Team for season 1, returning again

A press conference was held on 28 March at Orchard Hotel to announce the return of the show. The star attraction of the day was of course, the larger than life, Pauline Lan who showed up wearing a shocking translucent dress:

To incorporate a local perspective to the expert advice, Singapore’s top gurus, Bryan Gan and Keith Png will return as the skincare expert and style whiz respectively. New to the Singapore’s team of gurus are celebrity hairstylist Dexter Ng and fitness instructor Jackson Tan.

Dexter is an award-winning hairstylist who has styled local and regional celebrities like Stefanie Sun, Christy Chung and Gong Li. Jackson is well-known in the local fitness scene and is a personal trainer to many local celebrities.

Homegrown singer Kelly Poon will continue to lead the Ladies’ Team to explore beauty and fashion topics close to the hearts of Singaporean women. These topics range from slimming methods to dressing in autumn and winter wear with aplomb in tropical Singapore.

Success for the Men’s Team in Singapore to get on the show

Viewers will also be able to spot 6 new faces in the Ladies’ Team with the addition of local artistes such as Lin Cuifang, Lina Ng, Constance Song and Yang Li Bing, as well as popular beauty blogger Hayley Woo, and Eurasian starlet Rebecca Spykeman. They will join 7 local personalities from the inaugural Ladies’ Team such as Candyce Toh, Cheryl Wee and Silver Ang to give their take on beauty and fashion.

Lady First – Singapore (女人我最大- 新加坡) premieres on E City (StarHub TV Channel 111/825) on 3 June, every Tuesday at 8pm. It will also be available on StarHub TV Anywhere, so viewers can gain anytime, anywhere access to the programme.
